Rescue Me ID: 15-04-21-00038FAITH (female)
Meet Faith. Her name was given to her as it was by Faith that she was captured. She had been running around for months, knotted up, skinny and afraid of human contact. Obviously to those who tried to catch her were unsuccessful, but they would leave food out for her and it would be gone in the morning. Once she was trapped, we found this scared little girl that had a litter of pups, but no were no where to be found. People in the area searched, but nothing. 1st picture is of her all cleaned up and being held! (other 2 of her when found It could be possible that Faith was a breeder girl, who escaped. Afraid of humans but she is getting MUCH love from the foster, and her best friend Flynn (another little Maltese who is needing a home too) Please watch the video attached to the Petfinder link to see her now!) She is allowing humans to hold her now, but still afraid and will not come to us. Learning trust will be a for that someone special that is patient and loving...and nothing more than time to give this little sweet and CUTE girl. Please open your heart and home to this little bundle of uncertainty, Faith. Her adoption fee is set at 200.00 She has learned the doggy door, LOVES the outdoors, and has recently been spay and now re cooperating. Micro-chipped, rabies shot and all vaccines are done. *Special Needs due to her trust issues. She cannot go to a home with SMALL children The 1st step to adopting any of our dogs is to fill out an application by going to our website. www.azrain.org. Click on Dog Interest form. Send it back to firstname.lastname@example.org Your application stays on file with us for 90 days, in the event you are not chosen to adopt the dog you filled out the application for. Please don't email us, if you haven't filled out an application 1st. We do not bring our small dogs to adoption events, because #1) they are normally scared to death and very nervous, not knowing what's going on with the many people coming up to the pens and hovering over them. Many shiver and shake with the unknown. #2) People adopt on impulse when they see a particularly cute dog/puppy. When they are adopted on impulse, reality sets in with in the 1st month of adopting it. Oh, this puppy ate the leg off my chair, I can't have that!, or You said this dog was house trained and it pees all over;. . . and then in many cases they are returned to rescue. #3) When people have to fill out a form 1st, and read all the questions about the care of a dog/puppy, they see that there are many aspects to adopting a family member, that they may not of thought of. They also realize that it is a life time commitment. The application Is done prior to adopting, so the family understands the seriousness and responsibilities of ownership. We have applications available at 2840 W Chandler Blvd. (At Petsmart, in the Lowes shopping center). It is located at the 101 and chandler blvd. OR, you can go to our website and get one, then email back to us at email@example.com OR, hand deliver it to us on Saturdays at our Donation Table we have set up, right of the front door of Petsmart. Volunteers run the table every Saturday from 10am-2pm. They will make sure it gets to the correct Dept. Many Thanks! ~~~~~~~~~~~~ We are a 501c3 non profit Rescue. R.A.I.N. Rescue (Rescuing Animals in Need). ** ALL OF OUR PETS ARE: micro-chipped, (cats are feline Leukemia tested), up to date on immunization shots, spayed/neutered and dogs are current on Rabies shot.. The dogs/puppies are taken off the website with in 48 hrs of being adopted, SO if you see one that interests you, plz fill out an application. IN THE EVENT you do not get the dog or cat that you are applying for, your application will stay on file for 3 months. If you find another pet with RAIN Rescue that you are interested in, (within the 3 month period), just call or email us and tell us the name of the pet and that you have previously filled out a consultation form, and which one you are currently interested in. We will pull your application for the specific dog. ** Just a reminder: we are all volunteers...we all have jobs outside from our volunteer job at the Rescue. We are sorry that we will not make a special time and place to meet you without a consultation application done up. We are able to weed through many applications with out taking too much time. Meeting up prior to an application being done has been found to be unproductive, taking much time for all the volunteers involved, and YOUR time too! |Rescue Me ID: 15-04-20-00017Prince (male)|
Meet Prince!! This little guy is about 6 months old. He was rescued from the Pinal County Animal Care & Control. He was an owner surrender with his brother, King. Prince is the more submissive one of the two. They were very fearful at first. Within minutes they warm up and LOVE human affection :) Love to get belly scratches & be held. They are good with other dogs but very protective of each other. Ideally, we'd love for them to go to a home together as they seem very bonded. However, we do think they could be separated if there was another dog in the home for them to bond with. We are not sure how they would be with very young children. We'd suggest older kids that know to go slow due to their shyness at first. These two cuties have come a long way & will surely melt your heart :) They'll be available on May 2nd at our event at the Scottsdale Petsmart (Scottsdale Rd & Frank Lloyd Wright). Their adoption fees are $150 each or $275 for both :) Their fees cover their neuter, vaccinations and microchips. (Less)

Pepper comes to us as an owner surrender. Pepper is potty trained and loves to cuddle and go on walks. Pepper does not care for kids or men. She will love a man if he is walking her or has treats but that's the extent of it. She will be loyal follow her female owner wherever she goes. Pepper would be a great addition to any household that the man doesn't mind her not liking him or a nice little lady. If you are interested in meeting the entire 5 pound package of Pepper please call Diane at 602 308 9503

Rescue Me ID: 15-03-21-00236Sophie (female)
Hi! I thought you might be interested in this rescued pet from www.paphaven.org: Abra (Sophie) 6 yr 4 month old Female Papillon mix. Abra (Abby) weighs 9.63 lbs. and is a wonderful, sweet and mellow girl. Abby had an accident last October that resulted in the loss of her right eye. But she doesn't find it to be a handicap and goes about her business of finding out about the world around her. Abby has a healthy appetite and loves to spend time with you every time you sit down. She is perfectly happy to sit beside you and help keep you warm all through the winter. She is a wonderful walker, stays by your side and will keep on walking as long as you do. She doesn't bark at other animals or people while out there. Maybe you have room in your home and heart for this lovely little girl. House Trained, Leash Trained, Crate Trained. Unless otherwise noted, all PapHaven Papillons are healthy, spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, micro chipped, and on heartworm preventative and flea and tick preventative. If you are interested in adopting Abra, please contact Forrowdydog@Gmail.com (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-03-15-00362Bambi and Falcor (female)
These two little dogs are Bambi and Falcor, they are Chihuahua mixes about a year old. They were in a home with a senior couple and have not been around children so young children probably would not be a good idea, I would recommend 10 yrs and older. The only other dog in the home with them was their mother so not sure how they will be with other dogs and there was also a cat in the home so should be fine with cats. These dogs have not been house trained they were kept outdoors and were only brought in when cold outside. They were always very gentle and affectionate with their owners but they just couldn't afford to take care of them any longer. They do seem to be very nice little dogs and will make good companions. If you are interested in Bambi and Falcor, together or seperately give us a call at the Benson Shelter, 520-586-3600. Both dogs adoption fees will be $80 each to cover their spay/neuter and vaccinations. (Less)

This little cutie has such a funny little story. He was found sitting out front of animal grooming shop. He would wait everyday for the girls to show up to trim hair. The shop owner tried finding the owner....never could. One day one of the groomers thought that she would drive him to the neighborhood she thought he was from and leave him there...he would find his home(not a good idea!). The nest morning...he was sitting at the front door of the grooming shop. That's when one of the groomers called us at Pee Wee's Pals. Of course we took him! He is soooo cute and with a story like that...we have to help this little guy get a home! If interested, please complete the adoption application found on our website - peeweespals.org (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Papillon in Arizona
Papillon Dogs can make good pets in Arizona if they match your IifestyIe. The Papillon is an elegant toy breed with large ears and a gracefully curved tail. Papillons are active, playful, and full of personality. Papillons do well with older children and cats with whom they are socialized, but can sometimes be combative with other dogs. Housebreaking a Papillon may require patience. Papillons love to play outside, and can be protective and territorial. This breed does best with a yard, but some Papillons adapt fine to urban apartment life.
