Cavalier Pappion mix Remi needs a home My name is Remi but sometimes I am called a good boy, happy boy, love bug, lap dog, lover boy, or little rascal. Before I came here I was very thin, left outside tied to a tree, my hair was falling out and I was hungry all the time. A nice lady saw me and convinced my owner to give me up. Now I get food and love every day! I went to the vet and I now weigh 11 lbs., am up to date on my shots, on heart worm meds and a 2 year old healthy boy. One day I went back to the vet. I had no idea what was about to happen. When I came back home I was a bit sore and mom said I had been neutered, Wow that was a ... (Read More)shocker! In my current home I feel loved but my owner is gone a really long time; 12 hours. Most days I can wait until my mom gets home to potty but on a rare occasion have an accident. I am trying to be a good boy. I know better, but it is very hard to hold it all day. I wish my owner could stay home with me so we could snuggle. My fur-brother is named Oliver. We wrestle, play with toys and eat next to each other in our own bowls. Sometimes I play with short people who are six and two years old. I think they are called grandkids. I love people of all shapes and sizes except it takes me a little bit to warm up to men, because of my last home. I love to walk in the park so I am hoping my new parents will teach me to walk nicely on a leash. It is great when I learn something new and I get a tasty treat, like when I sit and stay. I am good in my cage, but would much rather be in your lap. I am hoping my new family will be home most of the day, so I can give them lots of doggie kisses and hugs. I am excited to meet my new family; maybe it is you. I have kisses with your name on it! Remi (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Papillon in Kentucky
Papillon Dogs can make good pets in Kentucky if they match your IifestyIe. The Papillon is an elegant toy breed with large ears and a gracefully curved tail. Papillons are active, playful, and full of personality. Papillons do well with older children and cats with whom they are socialized, but can sometimes be combative with other dogs. Housebreaking a Papillon may require patience. Papillons love to play outside, and can be protective and territorial. This breed does best with a yard, but some Papillons adapt fine to urban apartment life.

Papillon is French for butterfly. Papillon dogs get their name because of the butterfly-like shape of their ears. Papillons are depicted in Italian frescoes from the Renaissance. Papillons are a very old European breed that has been around for over 700 years. Many Renaissance paintings depict Papillons. A myth exists that Marie Antoinette carried her Papillon on her way to the guillotine.
