Rescue Me ID: 15-04-04-00225Mr. Bubbles (male)

Papillon    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: High Energy, Very Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

White and black Papillon (5 lb). I have loved him dearly! I don't want to see him go, but am trying to do what I think is best. He is a lovable dog to the one who cares for him. He's very protective and will often growl at others. Once he gets used to the person, he is fine. Mr. Bubbles is not popular with cats. They don't fight, but he makes sure the cat knows he's in charge. I feel bad for the cat because they usually tend to shy away. He's not completely house broken. He is if someone is always there to take him out, but I work and am not always here. He would be perfect for a single person who is home all the time. He would be your best ... (Read More)friend and literally live for you...and follow you everywhere. I want a good home for him with someone who will be forgiving of his quirks and enjoy him as much as he would enjoy the one person caring for him. Mr. Bubbles is also a barker. He doesn't bark for no reason, but he'll bark to let you know if he needs to go out, if anyone is at the door, or new people are around. If you are looking for the underdog to care for, he will reward you with his loyalty and snuggles. You will be his life. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Papillon in Michigan
Papillon Dogs can make good pets in Michigan if they match your IifestyIe. The Papillon is an elegant toy breed with large ears and a gracefully curved tail. Papillons are active, playful, and full of personality. Papillons do well with older children and cats with whom they are socialized, but can sometimes be combative with other dogs. Housebreaking a Papillon may require patience. Papillons love to play outside, and can be protective and territorial. This breed does best with a yard, but some Papillons adapt fine to urban apartment life.

Papillon is French for butterfly. Papillon dogs get their name because of the butterfly-like shape of their ears. Papillons are depicted in Italian frescoes from the Renaissance. Papillons are a very old European breed that has been around for over 700 years. Many Renaissance paintings depict Papillons.
