Little Buddy came to us as an owner turn in from a local shelter that was having some issues with their foster homes and had to get help with a few dogs.. He is a papillon mix boy and we think he has some Pekinese in him based on his color and facial and ear features. He is around 2-3 years old and is a very sweet boy who does well in the front seat of a car on car rides. He does not do well in a cage or kennel however. He seems to be very frightened of that situation and gets very upset. He is good on a leash though and just needs to be with his owner on a leash instead of a crate. He is going to be neutered on the 22nd of March, but due to his shyness, we are willing to place him in a foster to adopt basis until we can get his neuter surgery done for him. the foster to adopt will become an adoption after the surgery is completed. We do have to ask for a neuter hold for him of $125 which is fully refundable after his surgery is completed. By state law, we do have to get this as a deposit to make sure all goes well and the dog does get altered in a few weeks. If you are interested in this little cutey, do let us know and send in your application for adoption. HIs fee is $200 and includes the surgery or a voucher for it to be done, as well as a microchip and all vaccines to date. (Less)

Papillon Dogs can make good pets in Montana if they match your IifestyIe. The Papillon is an elegant toy breed with large ears and a gracefully curved tail. Papillons are active, playful, and full of personality. Papillons do well with older children and cats with whom they are socialized, but can sometimes be combative with other dogs. Housebreaking a Papillon may require patience. Papillons love to play outside, and can be protective and territorial. This breed does best with a yard, but some Papillons adapt fine to urban apartment life.
