Rescue Me ID: 14-09-21-00366Bashful (male)

Papillon Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Bashful is an adorable young puppy born on August 7, 2014 to a Pappilon/Terrier Mix mother and an Australian Shepherd father. Bashful, as you can see, takes after his dad's side of the family. We do not think he will get to be over 25-30 lbs, but there is plenty there to love. He does have a very thick and fluffy coat. Bashful wanted no part of dressing up at first, so he just played with his Ruffaree outfit! Bashful is almost 7 weeks old and is current to date on his vaccines. He still has a little more vetting to be done and then he will be ready to go to his forever home! Bashful will be available after September 30, once he has ... (Read More)completed his 2nd set of puppy vaccines and been neutered. He will also be micro chipped prior to adoption. Transport is available for an additional fee, so please don't hesitate to ask about this boy today. Bashful is currently fostered in west Tennessee right outside of Memphis. (Less)

Papillon Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Boomer is an adorable young puppy born on August 7, 2014 to a Pappilon/Terrier Mix mother and an Australian Shepherd father. Boomer, as you can see, takes after his dad's side of the family. We do not think he will get to be over 25-30 lbs, but there is plenty there to love. He does have a very thick and fluffy coat. Boomer was not thrilled to be dressed up in a girly outfit, but his foster mom thought it was so cute, that he was talked into posing. He asked us to let his potential family know, he is still all male, despite his cheerleading outfit. He also thinks you should email to ask for more pictures showing him without this girly outfit ... (Read More)as he just knows you will love his masculine photos too. Boomer is almost 7 weeks old and is current to date on his vaccines. He still has a little more vetting to be done and then he will be ready to go to his forever home! PIease Read Before Adopting a Papillon in Tennessee
Papillon Dogs can make good pets in Tennessee if they match your IifestyIe. The Papillon is an elegant toy breed with large ears and a gracefully curved tail. Papillons are active, playful, and full of personality. Papillons do well with older children and cats with whom they are socialized, but can sometimes be combative with other dogs. Housebreaking a Papillon may require patience. Papillons love to play outside, and can be protective and territorial. This breed does best with a yard, but some Papillons adapt fine to urban apartment life.

lnteresting Papillon Trivia Low-Cost Tennessee Spay & Neuter Clinics
Papillon is French for butterfly. Papillon dogs get their name because of the butterfly-like shape of their ears. Papillons are depicted in Italian frescoes from the Renaissance. Papillons are a very old European breed that has been around for over 700 years. A myth exists that Marie Antoinette carried her Papillon on her way to the guillotine.
