     Rocky was adopted this past Saturday by a very loving, sweet couple who lived 2 1/2 hours away. They drove up to get him and said he has adjusted so well to his new home and two 'sisters' - a border collie and a kitten! :) His new owner said she has always wanted a Papillon and knew about their quirks because her mother has one. We are so happy that things have turned out so well! We had to put him up for adoption because he and his biological sister were too anxious and barked all the time together. Ever since they split, they have both been so much calmer and easy going! We had actually resorted to putting them on Xanax a month ago but now, neither of them needs any meds at all! We are so thankful for this website and hope it helps many other dogs find new homes! :)

     I posted my Papillon for adoption on Rescue Me! but did not have a photo to post with my ad, which concerned me because your site mentions people have a better chance of adoption if they post a photo with their ad. In only a couple of days, a woman adopted my sweet dog! In my post I had given a real good description about the type of 'parent' I would like to have for my 'baby', and God answered my prayer for a good home for him: he was adopted by another single, female senior like myself: a match made in Heaven!      Katniss is a very sweet, loving, senior 13-year old Papillon that was relinquished to me at my veterinary hospital due to medical issues. After living with me for a few months until she was well again, I decided it was time to find her the 'right' home. After 24 hours on Rescue Me!, I received multiple inquiries regarding Katniss. And now, Katniss has been adopted to a truly loving family. I am grateful there is a site like this that allows these wonderful animals to get a second chance at a forever home.

     I posted my sweet, three year old Papillon on Rescue Me yesterday and received an e-mail from a wonderful retired couple who have a Papillon and were thrilled to learn about Zoe. They live about an hour away and came today to meet her. Their Pap, Barbie, is tinier than Zoe but definitely more alpha, which will be a perfect match for Zoe's exuberance and need for a partner who will race around with her and wear her out. Our family was very sad about giving her up but so happy to see her go to a home where she will get a lot of attention, do some traveling and be the center of attention. I'm very grateful for 'Rescue Me!' I highly recommend this website to anyone who is struggling with the difficulty of having to rehome a pet and who doesn't want to deal with the judgmental views of some of the rescue organizations. We did what was best for Zoe and our family and as sad is it was to say goodbye we know she will have a very happy life with her new family!!!

     I couldn't imagine a better new home for Carson. He is happy and healthy in the beautiful countryside of Wellsville, Utah, with fresh air and a nice big backyard, plus two new siblings to play with...another Papillon and a Goldendoodle! His new mom Aubree is sweet and caring, and was so kind and understanding during the whole process where I interviewed her to death to make sure she'd be perfect for him! She even had his teeth fixed right after getting him (he had a couple of rotten teeth as a result of past trauma that needed to be pulled). I couldn't afford the procedure and she is an intern at her local Vet's office so she took care of it right away. She is going to Vet Tech school starting this summer to start her journey towards becoming a veterinarian! And now you know why I say that I couldn't have possibly found a better new forever home for Carson. He and his new brother Havoc play all the time. I want to thank Jeff and everyone at Rescue Me! for making all this possible. Carson and I got so lucky, and although I miss him so much, I also feel lots of comfort and joy knowing that my sweet little guy is happy and safe in his new home.

     Jeff, Thurby was adopted by a wonderful older couple from Ohio who saw him posted on Rescue Me. Since then, I have received two other inquiries regarding Thurby. As heart breaking as it is in having to give a beloved pet of six (6) year up (in my case my 3 year old granddaughter who came to live with me was highly allergic), thank goodness there was some place I could turn to and try to find him a good home on my own. When I realized I was going to have to give him up, the thought of taking him to a animal shelter devastated me. I tried Papillon Rescue and it took me directly to Rescue Me. Within two days I had this older couple who were begging me not to give him to anyone else, they wanted him that badly. I still miss Thurby every day but at least I know he's in a loving environment with people who really wanted him and went out of their way to get him. Giving Thurby up was probably one of the hardest things I ever one but while he was confused he wasn't traumatized. The last picture I have in my mind of Thurby was him being held, loved on and kissed by a very sweet lady who thought he was the most beautiful dog she had ever seen. Feel free to post my comments. When my daughter and granddaughter are able to get on their feet and into a home of their own and I no longer have to worry about allergic reactions, I'll be back to Rescue Me for happier reasons - looking for a new best friend.      RescueMe was the answer to our prayers - literally!! My mother had two papillons she could no longer care for and we were lost as to what/how to find them new homes. I posted their information on RescueMe and within a few hours we had multiple inquiries about meeting our little Papillons. It was absolutely unbelievable how well everything turned out - we got to interview/talk with the interested new families to make sure it would be a good fit. The experience was personal, casual, and was exactly what we needed. Within a day we found the Perfect New Home for our Papillons. Most importantly this experience and method of connecting with the adopted parents was completely unique in that it allowed us to meet the new parents, and make sure that they were going to the right home!! I can't say enough about this experience. We have been emailing back and forth with the lady who adopted our Papillons, and get updates on how they are adjusting - and I am pleased to say they adjusted perfectly and are getting spoiled with love and treats:) Thank you RescueMe for being the tool to finding our sweet Papillons a new home where they are loved and adored - exactly what we wanted!!!
