Papillon Rescue Information: The Papillon is an elegant toy breed with large ears and a gracefully curved tail. Papillons are active, playful, and full of personality. Papillons do well with older children and cats with whom they are socialized, but can sometimes be combative with other dogs. Housebreaking a Papillon may require patience. Papillons love to play outside, and can be protective and territorial. This breed does best with a yard, but some Papillons adapt fine to urban apartment life.
Papillon Trivia: Papillon is French for butterfly. Papillon dogs get their name because of the butterfly-like shape of their ears. Many Renaissance paintings depict Papillons.
